Can i purchase a credit card but im unemployed?

You do not purchase a credit card you apply for a credit card, since you have no income you would be denied.

You can purchase a PREPAID credit card at most retail stores, they are prepaid so you do not need to be employed, and you use them just like a regular credit card, you just have the money upfront.

• Okay all the above answers are incorrect. You can apply for a credit card, but only if you have an income. For example if a partner provides for you. If you dont have an income, you cant apply. But just to confirm, phone the credit provider to do the application and check where you stand with them first.

• no, credit card company's always ask for details of your work and your annual income, if it is under a certain amount,( different company's specify different amounts) then they will decline your application.

• Uk answer: If you're unemployed, you can't afford to have a credit card. Simple as that. Why would any company want to advance you money you can't pay back?
