How can i get a car loan with poor credit?

I need to get a loan of £5500 for a car purchase but I only have a fair credit rating. Is there anywhere I can go for a loan without using a broker or being charged a "handling fee"? Please help, I really want my Mini Cooper =(

That simply means you need an Auto Loan.

• Guess you could go a few different ways. Improve your credit rating, get a loan online with a specialist 'bad credit' lender, buy a cheaper car, get the bus. Seriously though you should consider if you can really afford to maintain a large loan. You can get loans even with poor credit but need to ask yourself - will this just get me in more trouble?

  PS you might want to be a bit wary of someone who just gives you a freebee email address (yahoo) as a contact for a loan. I haven't checked but I would bet hard cash that it's dodgy. Best of luck anyway

  If you get car finance via a car company - it is based on the car, not so much your credit.
  
  Would advise going to blackhorse finance - they helped someone I know with bad credit.

• improve your credit before you try to make a big purchase. Why is your credit bad? Maybe you should pay your bills on time and if you cant get another job.
